On this page are the frequent asked questions about my business.
1. How many lawn care visits
do I need every month?
This is a great question that is most commonly asked. During the first two to three months of spring you should get it cut once a week for a healthy and well maintained lawn. Every 2 weeks during summer and back to weekly once the temperatures go down.
2. Scheduling (Most important)
My schedule is based on your location, for example Wilkes Barre and Ashley properties are usually on Thursdays unless it rains that day. You also do not have to be at the location for me to work. It is only a Weekly Or Bi-Weekly schedule. This is for the best route density.
3. How much do you usually charge for mowing & weedwacking?
My minimum is $30 for any job. I have a handful of $30 lawns but depending on the size it could easily get up to $60 to even $80. Bagging is always usually a little bit more maybe $15-20, And if there is a lot of weed wacking that would raise the price. Cleanup is included as well.
4. Do you provide on demand services.
If you are incredibly one day and you have a birthday party in a few days and you don't have time to cut your grass I can cut your grass once for a higher rate, but for multiple appointments it will only be weekly or bi-weekly schedule only, on my schedule for the best route density.
5. Do you do overgrown properties?
Yes overgrown properties are more common then you think. Of course they are always going to be expensive like around $100-200 minimum but if its super crazy out of control it would be more. But my highest overgrown property has only been around $250 so far. That is with bagging which I would recommend for those.
6. Schedule so far if you are interested.
Mondays - Off unless it's a special service other then basic mowing.
Tuesdays - Same as monday
Wednesday - Same as monday
Thursday - Wilkes barre, Ashley, Mountain top.
Friday - Hanover Township, Nanticoke, Sugarnotch, Wanamie, Warrior Run
Saturday - Same as monday
Sunday - Same as monday.
7. Do you do commercial properties?
Yes I have done a few one time jobs for commercial properties but absolutely I can do lawn care for commercial properties at my regular rates. The bigger the property will be more money
8. What kinds of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, check, venmo, cashapp, zelle, and you can even pay on my website click on the home tab on the top left and go to the top and click the link that says " pay if you don't have cash ".
9. Why cut the grass at 3inches or higher?
To have a healthy lawn one refer to number 1 question in the FAQ then come back to this. 3 inches to 3 1/2 inches makes the grass have stronger roots and makes it thicker which means it fights out any weeds that want to grow in the grass. For an example, my number 1 enemy, crab grass. If you only do bi-weekly in the prime time cutting seasons you will eliminate this reason.
10. Why Wason And Not Lawson Services?
The biggest reason are the LLCs and in general the name. There are so many Lawson lawn companies out there its crazy, so I did something unique and put my last name and awesome into one word. Wason. No one else has the name so its easy to remember. And no it's not pronounced Wayson.
11. SNOW -
For snow removal I will come to your property the morning (Or afternoon) of a snowfall of 3 inches or more to remove the snow at a fair price, snow removal can be more expensive then lawn care and in most cases it is.
12. Rain and re-scheduling
(Very important)
Depending on rain and unexpected events like equipment breakdowns I may have to re schedule appointments to another day, if you are not available on that specific day i recommend having a second payment method like Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle or even mail me a check like many of my clients do. If you don't want to do this i highly recommend finding another provider as I usually don't work off other peoples schedules anymore.
13. Do you offer pulling weeds as a service?
Yes pulling weeds is very common in this industry and I usually charge based on per job and how big it is. I aim to get around $50 an hour but sometimes I finish faster then I thought. No one likes pulling weeds and its the most tedious service for anyone so its one of my more expensive services.
14. Do you do any landscaping?
I only do mulching as for landscaping. I specialize only in lawn care.
15. Referral program.
I do have a referral program, for every person that you get in contact with me and I am able to secure them will be $5 off your per cut mowing price.
This is an fantastic deal no one else does, people usually only give out a free cut. (This deal does have a limit to minimum price of $20 per cut)
